![]() ![]() Put your heart and passion into your work/craft/creation and gamers (windows/Linux/Mac) will support you. However, for now I'm not spending any $$$ on it. I would like to support this game by spending my $$$ on it and being an active member of its community. WINE/Play-On-Linux are nice tools but they promote developer/publisher laziness. Why does it matter one might ask? It matters because I have been purposely avoiding the purchase of software that requires Windows. I'm currently running Manjaro Linux 17.1.1 with all of my hardware detected and working properly, and no special effort was needed. My testing/overclocking are mostly done so on to Linux. I setup a Win 10 partition only for the purpose of testing and verifying that all of my hardware was working (all of the drivers/utilities from the mobo manufacturer are for Win 10) and for overclocking the CPU/RAM. In Dec 2017 I built a new Ryzen 7 1700x PC to run Linux. When they were in the kickstarter phase they could have held a parallel kickstarter run to fund staff that would allow them to develop the Linux version of the game in parallel. Unfortunately, they are following the same path and rhetoric of many development shops who lip profess support for Linux and then "RENIG" (renegotiate terms, back pedal, retract/alter their statement). The 2018 Roadmap update basically says that they are focusing on the Windows version and that the Linux development is too difficult for them to engage with their current team. ![]() However, we are almost at Feb 2018 and the last discussion post about a native Linux version of the game was March 2016. I was hoping to see a Linux version of the game throughout its development and decided to be patient for a bit before posting. I got excited after seeing several videos about the game. ![]()
